Ingredients:

  • 250g (½ lb) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup (plus extra for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, garlic, egg, milk, breadcrumbs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until well combined—don’t overmix.
  2. Shape the mixture into a small loaf and place it in a microwave-safe dish.
  3. Spread a thin layer of ketchup on top.
  4. Microwave on high for 5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches at least 160°F (70°C).
  5. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
